The Kitchen
  • The kitchen had a refrigerator, a stove, a sink,
    and a table.
  • Our kitchen even had a tv, but this was the only
    apartment with one.

  • This is a typical street in Montepulciano.
  • Apartments were accommodated with a kitchen, a
    bathroom, and sometimes a washing machine!

  • In this room there were 2 beds, 2 closets, 2
    night stands, and another dresser.
  • There was ample room for 2 people to live
    comfortably.

  • Sienna is the former rival to Florence.
  • It is a very medieval city in a modern world.
  • Sienna had the best peach gelato I had in Italy!

The Palio- The Horse Race
  • Festival in Palio- a religious festival that has
    transformed into a horse race in which nine of
    the 14 neighborhoods race for bragging rights
    twice a year.

  • I would have to agree!
  • When in Italy, you must eat Gelato.
  • You walk enough to burn it off anyway!

    you have had it for a few weeks straight.

  • According to myth, if you toss a coin into the
    Trevi Fountain you are destined to return to Rome
    one day!
  • The Trevi Fountain is the most famous fountain in
    all of Rome.
  • It is seen in films like La Dolce Vita.

  • Pisa can be visited on a day trip.
  • A few hours would be plenty of time!
  • The Leaning Tower is an impressive sight to see,
    and there are a few other cathedrals as well.

The Lake
  • Close to Montepulciano
  • Take the Bus to Chiusi and then take the train to
    Florence. Get off at the first stop and then all
    you have to do is walk to the lake. Ask people
    for the lago if you get lost. They will point
    you in the right direction.
  • Very beautiful landscape.
  • Great place to visit if you are on a budget and
    cannot make it to Capri.
